Hey! I’m Loz.
I’m not an artist… as much as I’d like to be.
I am however, a life model. And it was during a life drawing art class one night, that I was standing there, butt naked, not daring to flinch that I thought - ‘I really wish there was a space in Canberra that people of all artistic abilities could experience this while drinking some wine’. And then I went home, cracked a bottle…. and The Tipsy Sketching Club was born.
The Tipsy Sketching Club is a space for everyone.
Curious about life drawing? Been sketching for years? After a fun night out with friends? We’ve got it all.
This isn’t a formal art class. There’s no on-going membership fees. Come as many or as few times as you like (although the reviews so far suggest you might be a repeat customer).
I will provide some basic guidance (which from a non-artist can be completely disregarded and no offence taken) as well as art supplies if you don’t already have any. If you have your preferred set up - please bring it along!
Most of all, bring an open mind. We have a range of models - both experienced and fresh to life modelling - who will challenge you and make you laugh with the creative poses that they bring to the room.
There will be themed events depending on the time of year, and each venue has a different vibe - you might have to try them all!
